The Tower and the Sea

The Tower and the Sea is the first book of the Midnight Sea Society. Its name comes from ancient times, a place beyond history and memory, when a great tower reached up toward the heavens from the center of a coastal city. Now, the ancient tower is gone, but a new tower is rising in its place.

The Midnight Sea Society is that new tower, both as a people and as a belief. Just as the great tower of old reached up into the sky, so too will we dare to stretch forth and raise our hands into the heavens. Our sea isn’t one of water and sand and winds, but a much greater ocean. Our tower stands before the sea of dreams, an endless realm that you can shape with your thoughts and your will. This ocean of dreams is the Midnight Sea.
